Africa, Ghana

Wild Boars in Mole National Park, Ghana

Ghana
Pictures from my trip to Ghana in 2008, where I and 12 others traveled from the south of Cape Coast to Accra up to the North of Kumasi then up to Bolgatanga to follow the path of the enslaved Africans. We also went to help establish a library  and computer stations with the students at the Sandema Sec. Tech school. I've been  feeling very nostaligic lately so I went through many of my pictures from my trip.

Life as of late
I haven't posted much in the blog lately because I've been enjoying a very relaxing summer full of adventure. I'm also getting myself mentally prepared for graduate school and the academic load that will bring. I'll be looking for a job near campus that will be able to accomodate my class schedule these next few weeks. That aspect of my life has be nothing beyond tedious, frustrating, and non-productive... but!... I will persist and I know that something will come up soon.

New project: Writing a Children's book
Progress on the book is going well, I've already established a name and the entire concept of the story line. It's been a fun hobby to have this summer, I'm staying in touch with my inner-child by using my "overactive immagination". Instead of devouring books by the dozens, I'm taking my time writing one instead. Although, I do have my sights on buying Island by Aldoux Huxley before summer's end.

"...Once the figure was standing directly above the Prince, it engulfed him in black mist and quickly disappeared deep into the Benali jungle."
"Prince Sayid was unconscious for two days before he awoke disoriented with a throbbing headache..."
"...The Prince tried to gain a sense of where he was but he didn’t know where he was or how he got to this strange place. He rose from the bed and walked around the room searching for something that appeared familiar..."

Life is...

"Life is a beautiful struggle.
Just as the butterfly must struggle to gain freedom and strenth, so must we.
The catalyst of change yields beauty." ಌLeyla
